American Quilter magazine's March issue shows my Psychedelic Big Bang on the cover and includes and article I've written on Bold Needle Threads.
My newest piece, Psychedelic Big Bang was awarded third place in the mixed techniques category at International Quilt Festival in Houston, second place at the AQS show in Paducah, and several awards at the NQA show in Columbus (first place small quilt mixed techniques, Best Use of Embellishment, Best of Show Small Quilt). I'm thrilled!!!

Wonderfil Spagetti 12wt cotton thread, 400m (~440yds) $8 Spaghetti

I've worked with the Canadian thread company, Wonderfil, to design 20 colors of their fabulous 12wt cotton thread, Spagetti. This is the nicest 12wt cotton on the market because it is so smooth. It's double-gassed and tightly twisted so machines love it. It's great for machine or hand quilting, machine or hand applique, redwork, wool applique, pick stitching fine garments, and many other applications.
I use it for quilting bold lines, for stitching over piping, and for embellishing prairie points. (90/14 topstitch machine needle with regular 50 or 60wt cotton thread in bobbin or 8 between hand sewing needle)
