I use this curved stiletto to guide fabrics while piecing, to guide piping as I sew it along a quilt's edge, and I like it for removing stitches. It also makes applying a piped shape much easier as described in Piping Hot Curves.
The tip of this stiletto is not as sharp as most, so it doesn't poke holes in fabric or snag decorative threads but is still pointed enough to hold fabric in place. The handle is rounded and comfortable to hold.
I have a big collection of stilettos but this one and the ball-point awl are the ones I always reach for.
