Prairie points can be charming surprises in quilts when they're included in piecing or in a quilt's binding. Traditionally they are evenly spaced around the outer edge of a quilt pointing outward, but why can't they be used as accents anywhere? Adding stitching, adding beads, adding a contrast lining, and using a variety of PPs in a quilt can really make a piece pop!

Instructions include details on cutting, stitching and pressing prairie points along with yardage charts so you'll know how much fabric you'll need for each project. Lined (or two-color) prairie point instructions are also included. They can be quite sophisticated and can add an element that really make your quilts much more interesting. It's surprising how easy it can be to make prairie points and it's amazing what they can do for your projects!

The Prairie Pointer Tool helps with turning a Dresden wedge. Any size wedge of any angle may be turned in this way!

Someone recently shared that she uses the PP tool to fold paper back while foundation piecing. That's clever!
