Joy in My Heart Pattern
Instructions are written for a 9.5"x 11.5" precious little quilt.
I included full-size applique patterns and the quirky silhouette in this pattern. Instructions are written for fusible raw-edge applique by machine, but of course you may applique by hand instead. If you prefer to turn edges under, feel free to add seam allowances. The real JOY in this precious little quilt is the fun with choosing colors, threads, and embellishments! It makes a very appreciated gift that can really warm a heart.

For decorative applique, I love the look of blanket stitch of about 2.5mm in width. Zig-zag is also good choice. WonderFil Spagetti 12wt cotton thread makes these stitches stand out and get noticed! It's my choice for applique, outline quilting, background quilting, and for prairie point embellishment too. There are beautiful colors to choose from! I've put together sets of colors that are beautiful and can they can help with fabric choices.
